Alegebraic Equations II (Lesson 63)

What if you were given the answer in an algebraic equation, but not the value of the variable? Well, what you do is just the reverse of the problem to find the variable.

so, for example x*4x-9=7. For this problem, the last step that you do is subtract 9 from whatever x*4x is equal to. So, what you need to d is add 7+9 to get 16. Now, we know what x*4x is equal to: 16. Now, if x is the same digit, then x= x+x=4, so x is equal to 2.
