Science Lesson 193: Master Engineer: Henry Ford

This lesson is going to be a mini-biography on Henry Ford. He was born in 1863, in Michigan. He displayed an interest in engineering from a very early age, and in fact, when his dad gave him a pocket watch for his 15th birthday, he took it apart and put it back together just to see how it worked.

He worked for Edison in 1891, who was one of the most prominent engineers in that time period. During this time, he created the Ford Quadcycle, which was the beginning of his revolution in the auto industry.

His big break came when he managed to use his engineering knowledge to create a cheap car for the average working man, and this automobile was dubbed the Model T Ford, probably the most famous car in the history of autos.
